UPenn averts strike as graduate union secures tentative deal after year of bargaining
University of Pennsylvania administrators and graduate student union representatives reached a tentative agreement, narrowly avoiding a strike that would have disrupted teaching, grading, and research. The deal includes a significant stipend increase to $49,000 and a $25 minimum hourly rate, alongside enhanced protections and benefits for over 3,700 graduate workers.
